Instructions on how to validate the user's accounts to assist with reset passwords and/or MFA reset.

Account Verification Process

I. Verification Process

1. Go to banner.imperial.edu
2. On left menu bar, select Miscellaneous > Password Reset Tools
3. On password Reset Tools, enter G# or UserName > Validate
4. Identify the student/staff/faculty

• First name, last name
• Student ID (G#)

5. Validate the student’s information

• Student ID (G#)
• ivc-email address
• Security questions
• Current class schedule

6. Reset password

• Create a password including:

1. Capital letter
2. Number
3. Special character
4. Minimum of eight digits

7. Inform the users that they can change their password. Please check instructions below.

 

II. Self- Service for Password change

1. Go to sso.imperial.edu
2. Select Set Password or Forgot Password

3. Then follow instructions
