Technology Services Project Management Initiation and Approval Workflow

  • The IT Management Team reviews the request for completeness (preliminary review) and feasibility, identifying the tentative start and end date if the project is funded and approved to proceed.
  • The President's Cabinet reviews the request received, taking into consideration existing projects and resource constraints (budget and staff).
  • The Technology Planning Committee (TPC) reviews project prioritization and rationale, providing input as needed.
  • The Integrated Consultation Council (ICC) reviews project prioritization and rationale, providing input as needed.
  • If needed, the President's Cabinet changes prioritization based on input received from TPC and ICC. The final decision is made on if and when the project is to move forward.
  • If granted, the Chief Technology Officer approves the project in TDX, giving the official green light to proceed.
  • The appropriate IT manager assigns a project manager (IT staff member) to the proposed project, for the creation of a project in TDX for tracking and documentation
